Limitless Ladies Network - Helping Women Build Holistic Self-Care and Well-being.

We are LIMITLESS in sharing Lessons to Advocate and Drive Insightful Empathetic Self-Care. Our Mission is to empower the ladies of our community! The Limitless Ladies Network was launched in 2024 to pursue her passion for educating and serving women on how to improve their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. After three years of suffering from debilitating Lyme Disease and Spondyloarthritis that landed her in a wheelchair, Tammy educated herself through the American Fitness Professionals & Associates, The Institute for Functional Medicine, and the Girls Gone Strong certifications. While acquiring vast knowledge from courses and literature, she implemented holistic lifestyle changes to successfully regain her strength, mobility, and well-being. During her physical healing process, past traumas resurfaced that continued to impact her health. By putting in the work, incorporated wellness practices, deep self-discovery, and holistic experiences, Tammy improved both her physical and mental health. Her struggles empowered her to learn all she could to serve women suffering from similar afflictions. The Limitless Ladies Network LLC’s mission is to help women build holistic self-care, well-being and advocacy.

Listener discretion is advised.00:00 – IntroHost welcomes listeners to Limitless Ladies Network, emphasizing holistic self-care and the spirit of community support for women.A brief but important disclaimer reminds everyone that this is educational content and not professional advice.01:07 – Sponsor Spotlight: Soroptimist International of WillimanticIntroduction of Soroptimist International, an organization focused on empowering women and girls globally.Highlight of hallmark projects: the Live Your DREAM Award (financial support for women in education/training), and the Dream Grant (covering licenses/fees). 02:28 – Introduction to Susan Noviello and her essential role in anti-human trafficking efforts through the Bloom Initiative at the Salvation Army.Quick history lesson on how the Salvation Army has been fighting trafficking since 1865. Overview of Bloom’s work: prevention, awareness, training, comprehensive case management, and street outreach (Hartford and Willimantic).10:28 – Warning SignsDiscussion on the real definition of human trafficking: force, fraud, or coercion—not just physical movement. In Connecticut, trafficking is usually orchestrated by someone the victim knows; movement between locations is less common.Warning signs for parents and friends: isolation, exhaustion, unexplained money, body branding or tattoos, multiple phones, and a sudden change in behavior. Victims often maintain a façade of normalcy—going to school, working, appearing successful, and staying isolated from trusted adults.13:33 – Vulnerability & GroomingUnderstanding how teens and young adults become targets—through people-pleasing, desire for acceptance, and lack of confidence.Traffickers often test likely victims based on eye contact or confidence levels. Trauma bonding explained: how quick rapport and moments of comfort can create a Stockholm syndrome-like effect in less than a day.Positive prevention starts at home: parents need to nurture confidence and teach children to say “no,” even at the cost of disappointing others.Social media, parties, and even affluent neighborhoods can all be entry points for trafficking.17:22 – Trafficking HotspotsCommon venues include schools, malls, online forums, and private parties.Today’s traffickers are increasingly sophisticated, leveraging social media and posing as supportive friends or romantic partners. The trend of “bring the beer, bring the weed, bring the girl” at upscale parties is highlighted as a growing, disturbing norm.21:12 – Survivor Support: Bloom Initiative ServicesIt truly “takes a village”: Bloom starts by helping survivors replace lost IDs, navigate social services, and find housing.Multi-faceted support system includes mental health care, community connections, job placement, and even therapeutic horseback riding. For those needing long-term support, there are homes specifically for survivors offering employment, therapy, and—yes—even a pet-friendly environment.25:37 – Key Takeaways & ClosingStrong reminder that anyone can be vulnerable, but prevention is possible with attentive communities and empowered children.Call for vigilance in our neighborhoods: parents, educators, and everyone else play a part in keeping children safe.Resources are shared for those needing help or wanting to get involved.Thank you to our sponsor, Soroptimist International of Willimantic: https://www.soroptimistwillimantic.org/about-our-club-1Sign Up for our newsletter: https://limitlessladiesnetwork.com/sign-upConnect with Susan at GreaterHartford.SalvationArmy.OrgShare this episode with another woman in your life. Welcome to another empowering episode of the Limitless Ladies Network podcast—a space where self-care, empathy, and holistic wellness come together to support women just like you! In today's episode, we're exploring something intriguing and truly eye-opening (pun intended): Iridology. Our host sits down with Jenevieve Hawks of Eye Song Health, a master herbalist who has expanded her practice to include iridology. They dig deep into how this unique modality goes beyond physical health, tapping into emotions, generational trauma, and unlocking your own personal soul blueprint—all through your eyes. Whether you're curious about holistic approaches, feeling stuck in your wellness journey, or just love learning about new modalities, this episode will spark your curiosity and might even change the way you see yourself.01:17 – Mind-Body ConnectionJenavieve shares her journey from herbalist to iridologist, explaining how certain clients’ symptoms could not be solved by standard herbal approaches. Through these “mind scratchers,” she realized trauma or spiritual imbalances were at play:Even after traditional approaches, some people saw no change in their symptoms.Patterns emerged—these individuals often carried trauma or unresolved emotional issues.Shifting focus to address the mind alongside the body brought dramatic healing.03:10 – Discovering IridologyOn her quest to deepen her understanding of the mind-body link, Jenavieve discovered iridology. She describes it as “a TV screen right into your eye” where you can “take the guesswork out” by assessing health and genetic information visually. She clarifies the important distinction: she assesses, not diagnoses.06:02 – Iridology ConsultationJenavieve outlines her consultation process:Uses a magnifying lens or takes detailed photos of the iris for better analysis.Reviews and discusses live with the client, often making it a self-education session.Sessions are highly personalized; recommendations might include herbs, meditation, or other practices. No two sessions are alike—even repeat clients get a new experience each visit.07:32 – Understanding PatternsThe conversation explores what Jenavieve looks for in the iris:Eye color can highlight tendencies (blue: lymphatic issues, brown: liver, hazel: digestion).Fiber patterns, color shifts, and unique formations point to genetic strengths/weaknesses or emotional blocks. Each eye is unique; even your two eyes have different genetic stories (mother vs. father lineages).13:09 – Genetic InsightsIridology delves deep, often revealing inherited trauma or gifts from generations past. Jenavieve shares stories about recognizing epigenetic trauma (even as far back as events like Auschwitz) in the eyes of descendants. She likens the iris chart to a birth chart in astrology—both are holistic, circular maps detailing a person’s unique roadmap.17:09 – Limitations & BenefitsWhile Jenavieve must be careful about “diagnosing,” she believes iridology’s only drawback is its own depth—sometimes, there’s so much to assess that it can be overwhelming. The benefits, by contrast, are profound:Deeper self-understandingAbility to see what’s truly “yours”Moments of clarity that bring everything (mental, physical, spiritual) full circle21:45 – Real Life ImpactJenavieve shares a touching example of working with a young girl, who, through iridology, found a voice and new connection with her mother. Clients leave with not just insights, but often real changes in their wellbeing.24:00 – Connect & OutroJenavieve invites listeners to connect via her website or remotely at https://eyesonghealth.com/.
